Here's how to make it:


  • 250 grams green chilies, washed and dried
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp nigella seeds
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2-3 tbsp lemon juice


  1. Wash and dry the green chilies. Cut them into small pieces.
  2. In a pan, heat the mustard oil until it reaches smoking point. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
  3. In a separate pan, dry roast the fennel seeds, mustard seeds, nigella seeds, and fenugreek seeds for a few seconds until fragrant.
  4. Grind the roasted seeds to a coarse powder.
  5. In a large bowl, mix the chopped green chilies, ground spices, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
